Katalina Peñaranda was born in Colombia and grew up in Miami, Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University and her law degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor on Law Review. Ms. Peñaranda went on to obtain her LL.M. degree in Taxation from University of Miami School of Law. She is fluent in Spanish.
